Recycled down is nothing new to the market. Previously, recycled down has been known as couchée and was used widely in the bedding industry as a way to blend into higher quality virgin down in order to reduce cost. The quality of couchée was always questionable in terms of fill power, content, durability, and cleanliness.
For the past year, ALLIED has been researching the post-consumer supply chain in order to develop a true performance recycled down as a new option for technical garments.
Working with supply chain partners, we have now identified regions we can work with to create a new recycled down product, offering the performance, cleanliness, and durability ALLIED has come to be known for.
ALLIED is also a Global Recycled Standard certified facility to ensure all elements of every post consumer product is being properly recycled.
